October 1 Deadline to Submit Dissertation

If you have not yet done so, contact your department to declare your intention to submit your dissertation. When you notify the department, they will discuss the steps necessary to set up the Online Notification of Readers (ONOR) form prior to the October 1 dissertation submission deadline. ONOR must be set up prior to submitting your dissertation. Go to the Dissertation Submission page on the registrar’s website for additional information.

NOTE: The dissertation submission deadline falls on a Saturday. We strongly urge you to upload and submit your dissertation on Friday, September 30, when we will be in the office and able to assist should you have difficulties with your submission. Dissertations that are submitted after October 1 will be considered for the May 2023 degree.

Declaring your intention does not obligate you to submit your dissertation. If you choose not to submit your dissertation in October, notify your department and the ONOR will be withdrawn. You will remain eligible to submit your dissertation in a future term, but you must declare your intention prior to submitting your dissertation.
