Reminders

  • New spring course proposals must be submitted to the Course of Study Committee by October 22 to be approved and offered in time for the opening of early registration. They will continue to be reviewed through early December.
  • Yale Course Search (YCS) provides students with two default worksheets: a Registration worksheet for officially enrolling in courses and a Canvas worksheet to visit up to five Canvas course sites without registering.
  • Instructor permission - the registration system offers a formal permission request and grant process. If a course has reached enrollment capacity, or if a course has been marked as “Instructor Permission Required” in CourseLeaf WEN, students who attempt to enroll in the course will be prompted to submit a formal request. Instructions for managing permission requests can be found on the Registration website.
  • Discussion/Lab Section selection - students will select discussion/lab sections during the Early Registration period; therefore, at least one discussion/lab section must be offered in CourseLeaf WEN by November 18. Additional discussion/lab sections may be offered at any point during the course enrollment cycle, based on teaching fellow allocations and student demand.

Refer to the Registration website for additional details, instructional documentation, FAQs, and dates and deadlines.

Sincerely,
